Mr.Prejean is licensed to practice law throughout the State of Texas and in the Southern Federal District of Texas. Mr. Prejean holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation from Texas A&M University. He also holds a United States Coast Guard Merchant Marine Officer’s License (Master Mariner, Oceans – Unlimited). Prior to his career in law, Mr. Prejean worked on all manner of seagoing vessels, from tall ships to VLCCs (a/k/a “supertankers”). By the time Mr. Prejean stopped going to sea, he was a licensed captain in possession of the largest and most prestigious maritime license issued, the Unlimited Master license. Thereafter, Mr. Prejean worked in ports and refineries along the Texas coast as a Marine Pollution and Safety Advisor and as a Cargo Superintendent. In these capacities, Mr. Prejean has inspected countless petro/chemical tankers from numerous flag-states, and has observed the operations and competencies of crews from nearly every maritime nation. Additionally, Mr. Prejean’s knowledge and expertise was made use of by a national maritime disaster firm, where he was positioned to serve as a first-responder and advisor to maritime interests in the event of catastrophes involving ships along the Texas coast. These positions he held throughout his years of law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston.
